Online estimates vs Guaranteed offers!
Most major Tesla valuation services in the UK offer an “estimated” valuation service, meaning these offers can sometimes be higher than our instant guaranteed valuation,
however, it is important to remember these are simply estimates and your Tesla will have to be auctioned via their platforms. The auction process can take several days
and even up to a week to complete and when prices are falling on a weekly basis, this delay can often cost £100’s. As part of this process you will be required to provide
specific photographs of your Tesla but none relating to the spec or software your Tesla may have, meaning the features pertinent to your car will not be included in the
listing. It is then up to a number of buyers to bid on the auction day, and whilst there is often no cost to you to list your Tesla, it is important to remember the winning
bidder will have fees involved with the purchase of your car, so they will be deducting these from your offer to cover their buying costs. Further to this and whilst
many of these platforms may have a 4+ star rating for service, the winning bidder may have a poor reputation for buying cars, which is beyond the control of the valuation
platform and these will often look to reduce the price further on inspection and collection.
We are the leading independent purchaser of Tesla vehicles in the UK.
Our easy-to-use, 3-step valuation service provides an accurate, instant and guaranteed quote for your Tesla Vehicle. Our offer is based on the features pertinent
to your Tesla, the only one of its kind in the UK, allowing you to select Full Self Driving, upgraded alloy wheels or Sub Zero Weather pack, it’s all built into our
tool and your valuation is adjusted accordingly. If you are happy with the quotation and the details that you have provided are accurate - we will arrange for the
collection of your Tesla free of charge within 3 working days and will not leave until all of the money is in your bank account with an instant and free bank transfer.
Our team of experts will guide you through the process of deleting your history within the car and the secure transfer of your data from within your app, meaning you can
be safe in the knowledge there will be no legacy data in your Tesla relating to your personal information or credit card history.
No hidden fees. Just instant cash into your bank account with any outstanding finance settled by us!
We can also purchase Tesla vehicles that have suffered cosmetic damage.
We simply need photographs of the damaged area/s or we carry out the inspection on the day with you. Our online valuation will be adjusted accordingly to take account
of the damage, which is revised at trade costs and not retail. Meaning if you have damaged alloy wheels for example, you will likely be financially better off selling
to us with this damage at trade costs rather than gaining a retail cost repair at a local body shop repair centre, which for all four alloy wheels could
save you up to
£200.00.
The Auction Process Explained
The “estimated” valuation you receive when using the major online estimated buying platforms, such as Motorway and Carwow is not the same as the guaranteed value you are
given when using our valuation tool.
Your vehicle will then be prepared for auction and the process can take up to one week from initial enquiry to having your car listed for auction.
From here, your “estimated” reserve price will be set and the auction will begin, 7 days a week, meaning your vehicle could be listed on a day where fewer bidders are
available to bid. At the end of the auction, you will be presented with the highest bid of the day, which could be the reserve price or on many occasions will be
significantly lower than the reserve, this totally beyond the control of the buying platform, they simply rely on a network to agree with their estimate.
It is important to remember everything is an estimate, as these platforms do not buy cars and the buyers on their platforms are charged significant fees to buy your car.
Auction Fees Explained
Some platforms will require you to pay auction fees when arranging to sell your vehicle, these fees are usually a percentage of the sale value agreed at auction,
which are designed to cover costs such as the costs of listing and advertising your vehicle, processing and organising the sale of the vehicle and other administration costs.
Other platforms install a fee for purchase method, where the winning bidder will have to pay fees to the platform in order to purchase your car, which can be very costly given
the high value of Tesla vehicles, so whilst these are advertised as completely free to you or 100% free of charge, this is the typical “too good to be true” as the cost is simply
shifted to the buyer and they will provide a purchase price reflecting this.
With our platform, we really do take care of the whole process, we are not a broker, we are not an estimated platform, we do not charge admin fees for premium bank transfers,
we simply understand and love Tesla’s and provide a valuation based on this, which is the exact amount you will receive upon collection providing all the information entered into
our website is consistent with your car on collection.
